Raumaster Paper to deliver a roll handling system to Saica Containerboard UK
The new lightweight containerboard production line with the production capacity of 400,000 tonnes per year will be based at Partington Wharfside, in Trafford, near Manchester in the United Kingdom. The start-up of the production line is scheduled for the first quarter of 2012.
Raumaster Paper’s (RMP) delivery will include a complete roll handling system from winder to warehouse. The use of proven components and modules will ensure fast and trouble-free commissioning, as well as rapid attainment of the product quality requirements.
The roll handling system comprises winder deck equipment, slat conveyors, ink jet printing and labelling robots, special arrangement to apply board headers, reject roll handling, lowering upender, warehouse conveyors and optional spiral kraft wrapping. All functions are either electrically or pneumatically operated.
In addition to the process equipment, the supply from RMP includes complete automation featuring Roll Flow Tracking and Abnormal Situation Management, as well as a Remote Care package.
The delivery includes also erection supervision, commissioning and training services.
The board rolls in Saica range from 400 to 3350 mm width and 1150 to 1500 mm diameter. Maximum weight is 4500 kg.
